NEW YORK

NMUN 2022

The NMUN 2022 delegation is currently preparing for New York.

NMUN 2021 – CORONA-UPDATE

Corona-Update:

The Regensburg NMUN 2021 project is canceled.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NMUN 2021 will take place as a hybrid conference.

At the moment we consider it highly unlikely that we will be able to travel to New York in March. The risk that there will be a surge in infections and/or a travel ban is too high. Since many essential parts of the project (the pre-program in NY with visits to embassies and NGOs, the diplomatic negotiations, the personal exchange) would be omitted if we participated digitally, we have decided to cancel the project for 2021.

We very much hope that there will be a Regensburg NMUN Delegation in New York again in 2022! If you have any questions, you can always contact the project manager Christian Sigl (christian.sigl@ur.de).

NMUN 2020

Dear visitor of our website,

Unfortunately, we must inform you that the NMUN-NY Conference 2020 has been cancelled due to Covid-19. This year’s delegation of Viet Nam is very disappointed but respects and understands the decision.

In the past six months our delegates have dealt with the work of the United Nations in a very profound and intense way, covering the history and current geopolitical situation of Viet Nam as well as preparing for the conference in their respective committees. Each team of delegates prepared a Position Paper, specifically working towards the individual topics that should have now been discussed at the conference in New York.

Despite the cancellation of the conference, there is still something to celebrate! Aside from the unpleasant circumstances, the staff of the NMUN conference in New York took the time and made the effort to read and evaluate the submitted Position Papers.

Subsequently, three of our committees received a Position Paper Award, which we are all very proud of! The hard work that each of us delegates has put into the preparation of the Papers was rewarded with special recognition of the Papers submitted by our delegation to the General Assembly First Committee (representatives: Moritz Kinskofer and Moritz Regenspurger), the General Assembly Third Committee (representatives: Emily Holmes and Paula Boden) and the Security Council (representatives: Alessandra Aue and Aaron Jahreiss).

Regensburg’s NMUN-Delegation of 2020 would like to thank you all for your encouragement and the financial support that we received in the past few months.

We wish you all the best and most importantly right now: stay healthy!

You can find the Position Paper Awards down below.
